Family Portraits || the N. Family || Youngsville, North Carolina

What a joy it was to work with this sweet family! Though we hit a couple of snags in the early stages of planning (due to sickness and weather), causing us to adjust our original plans a bit, the day we ended up shooting on went beautifully - a true blessing from the Lord!

Though the weather was chilly, the children were real troopers and by bouncing back and forth between indoors and out, we were able to manage the cold and keep smiles on faces. I was so thankful that despite the temperature, the Lord gave us a such beautiful sunny day!

Family Reunion || Wake Forest, North Carolina || E. Carroll Joyner Park

What a fun treat it was to work with this precious family! When my dear friend from church asked if I'd be interested in doing an extended family portrait session for her, you can be sure that I was more than happy to oblige!

It was such a beautiful and enjoyable afternoon; as anyone who frequents this blog at all will know,  Joyner Park is one of my absolute favorite locations. So many options and so much room for creativity with all of the trees, green lawn, stone walls, old cabins...ah! Pure delight! And each member of this wonderful family was a delight to work with as well. Photographing families and the love they share is one of my favorite parts of this job and I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to work with this dear group of people.

All of the cousins!

Telling baby not to cry...

The youngest member of the family was not sure he liked this whole "portrait session" thing!

...but he eventually decided to be ok with it! Smiles all around!

No family session would be complete without a silly cousins photo!

Let the silliness reign!

Senior Portraits || Corbin || Wake Forest, NC || Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

Featuring Corbin, class of '17.

I met Corbin and his wonderful mom through Homeschool Picture Day, a few years back; when they contacted me about scheduling senior portraits we decided that the beautiful grounds on the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary would be the ideal setting. I love SEBTS's campus, so I was thrilled with this selection- I absolutely love returning to old favorites, the challenge of reworking a familiar location and the excitement that comes from discovering a new spot which you had missed before.

Corbin was absolutely fantastic to work with and we had a wonderful, overcast weather which provided beautiful all around lighting and allowed us to shoot almost wherever we felt like! Thank you so much, Corbin, for trusting me with your senior portraits!
